TAM To Begin Daily Flight To Frankfurt - Partners With NHT
TAM announced they will begin a new daily flight to Frankfurt, Germany on November 30. The route will be operated by the modern Airbus A340-500 aircraft, which will be delivered to the Company by the end of October. The new aircraft will be dual class (Business and Economy), with 267 seats.
Flight JJ 8070 will depart from Guarulhos International Airport, Sao Paulo at 10:40 p.m. and will arrive in Frankfurt at 1:30 p.m. (local time). The return journey will be by Flight JJ 8071, which will begin operations on December 1, leaving Frankfurt at 10:30 p.m. (local time) and arriving in Sao Paulo at 7:40 a.m.
In May, TAM singed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Lufthansa to implement codesharing on national and international routes. The agreement links the TAM Fidelity program and the Lufthansa Miles & More; it will also allow the utilization of the VIP rooms in many airports. The companies will announce the gradual implementation of these measures in the coming months.
Commercial Agreement Between TAM And NHT
Meanwhile, a commercial agreement between TAM Linhas Aereas and the regional company NHT allows TAM to market NHT flights to the cities of Pelotas, Rio Grande, Santa Maria, Santana do Livramento, Santa Rosa, Santo Angelo and Uruguaiana in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, using the JJ* code. The two companies will be able to offer their passengers more facilities and flight options, stimulating regional traffic.
The commercial agreement with NHT begins September 24 and TAM will offer flights to 81 locations in Brazil.
TAM already maintains commercial agreements with the regional companies Pantanal, Passaredo, Trip and Total. With the NHT partnership, TAM's network will expand and will offer flights to 81 locations in Brazil, of which 47 will be flights on TAM. The agreement will also allow the company to reinforce its presence in Rio Grande do Sul, where it currently operates flights to Porto Alegre and Caxias do Sul.
