Rail Gourmet to Take Over Catering Network of Irish Rail

Compass Group's Rail Gourmet is the preferred bidder for Irish Rail's catering network, an Irish Rail spokeswoman told gate2board. The final contracts have not yet been signed. Operations could start as soon as December.

Rail Gourmet is the number one European provider of on-board catering and food service to rail companies. In Europe, Rail Gourmet is active in Spain, Belgium, the UK, Norway, Finland and now Ireland. The company also has operations in China and Turkey.
